My 6yo and 3yo love this CD. There's enough English explanation that they follow everything. Even my 3yo is constantly singing the songs, poems and snippets back. We listen to it in the car, which seems to be the most realistic way of absorbing, enjoying and maximizing the experience.
I was looking for a CD just in Spanish. I do not like the translation in English. The Spanish part is good.
It has a short lesson with English and Spanish vocabulary words, and then songs or games follow entirely in Spanish. run. (playing the games.). The best part is that it comes with a little booklet for parents to read the words as spelled out. and some culture too. This CD will have you moving. full of very fun songs and games. corro corro.
I thought it was a DVD. run. but that's OK. walk. lots of Spanish on this CD. (Some Cds I purchase do not have such a list).PS.
Camida. walk. I did not realize it was an audio CD at first, by the packaging. Also, As far as I can determine, it is traditional more universal Spanish, not Mexican accent Spanish.
I recommend doing the motions as well as listening and singing the music and lyrics. When I found Hop, Skip and Sing Spanish, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I always have trouble finding properly translated, good quality items for my Spanish class and for home use. If you are not sure what the motions are, you can follow the leaftlet that is included, or make up your own. Native Spanish speaker and singer Ana Lomba has done a superb job with maintaining proper grammar and clear diction in a fun and creative way for children of all ages. She presents traditional songs and rhymes that will become instant favorites. I highly recommend this unusually well made Audio CD and accompanying leaflet with Spanish and English lyrics. I love it and my students love it.
It's a good book for its suggested grade levels use. I find it useful when teaching Spanish to pre-kinder and kinder kids. We can make adaptations accordingly if we want to, songs are very good, and its methodology is efficient. Good job Ana.
